READING COMPREHENSION PACKET -
A CLOSER LOOK
In your daily work, you can be doing the Reading Comprehension Packets. The questions that go along with each short piece of text will hold you accountable for thinking critically about what you read. Take a look at the "Scholastic Comprehension Skills: 40 Short Passages For Close Reading" packet. (I am showing an image of an example here). After you read a passage, you can look at the bottom of the page (I highlighted it in my example). This section tells you the reading skills you will work on when answering the questions for each passage.

This questions for this passage focuses on making PREDICTIONS, determining the MAIN IDEA, and using CONTEXT CLUES to learn word meaning (vocab). Have an adult/caregiver look over your responses. Doing 2-3 of these each day is a good idea.

LEVELING UP!
Good work, Mattia and Morgan! You worked hard and leveled up in Lexia. Keep on going! 15-20 minutes each day. Who will be next to "level up?"

IT'S WEDNESDAY - OUR SPECIAL IS LIBRARY!
Pin on FamiliesSince today is Wednesday - Library Day Special - I thought I'd share Mrs. Frey's reading of the book, "Life With My Family." (Kind of an appropriate title, right?!)
Just click this link right here and enjoy:

BUSY BRANAMAN!
Check out Bran's Observation writing he did in his Nature Observation Journal. Thanks for sharing your writing Bran. It sounds like you had a great time...and looks like you had some fun at Vermont College, too!

Anyone from Class 220 can keep sending pictures or videos of things you have been doing - academic or not...

That's it for today.
Stay Safe,
Mr. M
