WHICH ONE DOESN'T BELONG?
At UES, we had a Number Talk routine to begin our math work. One type of Number Talk was, "Which One Doesn't Belong?" Try this one out with a family member. Remember, there are many different ways of choosing which one doesn't belong. When we left UES, we were in the middle of a lesson on FRACTIONS - understanding equal parts of a whole (shape, set, or number). That's why I chose this Number Talk for today. Share your ideas by writing them down and sending a picture to me.

MORE MATH PRACTICE PAGES (at home printer required)-
Practice Books, Grades K–5 | The Math Learning CenterIf you click the link below, you will connect to a page that has a 3rd Grade Math Practice Book. If you have a printer at home, have an adult help you print pages 1-10 (skip the introduction pages). Once you've completed pages 1-10, print pages 11-20 and go from there! If you do not have a printer, you can always look at the problems and solve them on your own piece of paper.

Clear It Multiplication • ABCya!CLEAR IT MULTIPLICATION-
If there is one 3rd grade skill you can work to master (proficiency) while you are at home learning, it's your multiplication facts (which then help you with division facts). Try CLEAR IT MULTIPLICATION as today's practice for multiplication.

IN OTHER NEWS (math unrelated)-
Branaman was busy the past couple days with tinkering around on Storyboard That. Take a look at some of his storyboards:

Teacher Parade!!! That's right, you heard that right. It may not be as good as the Montpelier 4th of July Parade, but at least maybe we will get a chance to see each other.

Mr.s Pierce, 4th grade teacher, has organized this parade. Here is her message. Maybe I'll see you somewhere along the route.
TEACHER PARADE FRIDAY, April 3, 3:00. ðŸŽ‰
Here is the route planned out. Please remember there will be dozens of cars so I needed to stick to main roads where we wouldn’t have to turn around. Ideas for where to go to watch for the parade (if we’re not coming to your neighborhood) - National Life front lawn, college green, MHS fields, recreation fields. Please practice social distancing and don’t congregate in groups! We miss our kids so much and want them healthy and safe!
